Octavius is now ready for purchase! It is hot off the press and available as a lovely hardcover children's book available for $18.00 plus shipping and handling. It is also available at numerous stores in Bermuda such as Robertson's in St. Georges and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute gift shop. ]]><![CDATA[Octavius the Octopus]]>Wed, 13 Jan 2016 04:03:42 GMThttp://www.staceyspaintings.com/blog/octavius-the-octopusI finally finished illustrating the sweet children's book Octavius the Octopus written by Elizabeth Zuill Cart. This book is about a kindly octopus named Octavius who lives in a fish tank with other fish. When his caretaker has to go to hospital after breaking his leg, Octavius takes over the maintenance of the tank himself and proves to be very capable and thoughtful. I used watercolor on hot press paper for this project and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It is isn't printed yet but when it is available I'll be sure to let everyone know and it will be available here.
